Actionaly Earns Highest Tier of Interoperability Certification

This week Actionaly received a Tier 4 Badge from Project Unicorn's vendor certification program! This award is given to products that support data interoperability, or the seamless, secure, and controlled exchange of usable data between applications.

A Tier 4 Badge indicates the highest possible rating on the Project Unicorn Interoperability Rubric, a rigorous evaluation tool developed with input from both districts and vendors.

Five EdTech Vendors Earn Project Unicorn Interoperability Certification

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PRWEB) — MARCH 06, 2023

InnovateEDU's Project Unicorn announces five education technology products that have obtained the Project Unicorn Interoperability Certification this month. The certification signals that an edtech product prioritizes data interoperability, or the seamless, secure, and controlled exchange of usable data between applications. It also helps school districts and educators recognize vendors with a goal of better informing instruction and driving student-centered learning experiences.

The following five edtech products have been awarded the Project Unicorn Interoperability Certification:

  • Student Provisioning Services
  • StartingBlocks, a product of Education Analytics
  • Actionaly
  • Inno, a product of Innovare
  • SAFARI Montage

"The Project Unicorn Vendor Certification helps school and district leaders ascertain where an edtech product is in its data interoperability journey." This information is critical for leaders selecting and implementing edtech products in their school systems, according to Erin Mote, Executive Director of InnovateEDU. The certification helps institutions choose products best suited to their needs and signals market commitment to interoperability.

Project Unicorn interoperability certifications are featured on various product indexes, such as the Edsurge Product Index and LearnPlatform, allowing customers access to edtech product information at critical moments in their procurement considerations.

Keith Larson, CEO at Student Provisioning Services LLC, stated: "we are proud to have achieved this certification, which demonstrates our dedication to standards and interoperability."

Rosh Dhanawade, Director of Cloud Engineering and Interoperability at Education Analytics, noted: "interoperability isn't simply an end goal, but a journey and a process for districts and states."

Edtech vendors earning the Project Unicorn certification show a distinct commitment to data interoperability, developing products that help educators make crucial decisions backed by data.

Nina Barraclough, Head of Business Development at Actionaly, remarked: "The flow of data between systems is critical to our mission of helping schools and their partners to engage with families." She added that their team invested substantial effort into supporting seamless data flow for districts, and the certification demonstrates strong interoperability commitment to potential customers and partners.

Executive Director of InnovateEDU and Project Unicorn, Erin Mote, will be joined by Ash Kaluarachchi, Chief Executive Officer for StartEd, and Janine-Walker Caffrey, Chief Product Officer for EPS School Speciality.
