A Toolkit for Engaging the Community
November 15 at 2:15 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
We are excited to share the stage with Denise Diaz, the Executive Director of Family Engagement at Clark County School District (Las Vegas), Nevada! The session will dive deeper into research and tactical work being done to help drive family engagement. The panel will share approaches that educators can leverage to optimally engage the current community, but also plan for a gradual increase of engagement across all families.
Privacy Certification: 1EdTech's Secret Sauce for a TrustEd Ecosystem
November 16 at 9 a.m.
Kevin Lewis, Data Privacy Officer at 1EdTech, tapped Actionaly to share our experience earning the 1EdTech TrustEd Apps Seal at the co-located Fall Technical Meeting. In this workshop, edtech vendors will learn how to transform a privacy policy using the 1EdTech Data Privacy Rubric.
Join the 1EdTech Data Privacy and the Actionaly teams as they walk through the process and conversations needed to become one of 1EdTech TrustEd Apps Seal recipients. Willingness to collaborate, change policies, and meet the TrustEd Apps Seal requirements are key elements for success. This is the "Secret Sauce" that takes a privacy policy to a higher level.

1EdTech is a member-based non-profit community partnership of leading educational providers at all levels, government organizations, and edtech suppliers working together to enable better digital teaching and learning. Actionaly joined 1EdTech as a Contributing Member in 2022. Contributing Members of 1EdTech are expected to collaborate on a wide range of initiatives. 1EdTech is championed by many for the collaborative development of the OneRoster standard for K-12 student data. Actionaly is part of the OneRoster Product Steering Committee. 1EdTech also provided editorial support for our white paper on FRM (Family Relationship Management).
